Renovations rarely go wrong at the painting stage. They go wrong in between: when the floor goes down before the wall is ready, or when nobody says who is coming next. So the order of work gets settled first, and the work starts after that.

In many cases yes. When rooms are renovated one after another there are always usable rooms left. When a whole flat is renovated it is usually faster and easier if it is empty. We work out which applies to you at the site visit.
It depends on the area involved and how much preparation the surfaces need. Two rooms with new surfaces and a new floor are typically around a week, a complete flat clearly longer. A reliable figure only comes after the site visit, because the substrate cannot be judged before that.
